[edit] Tests

The following tests can be run to check whether everything is working properly:

• From anywhere:
  • Test whether the Web Server that runs the Portal is up

• From the Grid Portal machine:
  • Test whether the Globus Toolkit is up and running on an Appliance
  • Test whether the Index Services are running on an Appliance
  • Test whether GridFTP is running on an Appliance
  • Test whether all filesystems that are supposed to be mounted on the Appliances (such as the ones containing users' home directories) are actually mounted
  • Test whether the Job Schedulers are working on the Appliances

[edit] Test Jobs

Test Jobs, jobs that can be submitted from the Grid Portal to the appliances, are included in the UGP distribution.
